Obituary of Virginia Hussey

Virginia Hussey, 90, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Francis Parker Memorial Home in Piscataway, NJ. Born in Bound Brook, she was a longtime resident of New Brunswick. Virginia was employed as school crossing guard for over 35 years, primarily at St. Peter's School. Virginia had been an avid bowler, was a fan of Rutgers University sports and liked travelling to Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Hussey; and her son, Thomas. She is survived by her sons; Jack Hussey and wife Patricia of Little Silver, Rick and wife Joann of South Brunswick, and Ed and wife Robin of North Brunswick; her sister, Geraldine Ofsik of Branchburg; her grandchildren, Corey Varela, Erin Murphy, Ashleigh Hussey, Shannon Hussey, Samantha Hussey, Megan Hussey, Joseph Hussey and Andrew Hussey; as well as her great-grandchildren, William Varela, Summer Varela and Daniel Murphy. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 15th at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in New Brunswick, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14th, at the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Virginia's name to the Francis Parker Memorial Home, 1421 River Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
