Obituary of Marie Miller

Marie Frances Miller, 83, of Edison, passed away peacefully at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living on February 18, 2017. Born in 1933 to Eleanor and Frederick Brown, Marie lived in Edison for over 60 years. After graduating from St. Cecilia's (Englewood) High School, Marie worked as an administrator, including many years at Charles Simkin & Sons in Perth Amboy until her retirement in 1970. Following her retirement, she attended Middlesex County College and was a proud graduate with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. Marie was the Secretary for the Edison Senior Citizens Club, loved gardening and exchanging on the stock market and enjoyed her vacation home in Cranberry Lake in Sussex County. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Marie is predeceased by her loving husband James C. Miller in 2002; and two sisters, Marjorie ("Midge") Blanchard and Edna Grimes. Surviving are her two dear sons; Larry Niech and his wife Agnes of Chatham and Gary Niech and his wife Patricia of Avenel; along with her 4 grandchildren, Claire, Catherine, Andrew and Anthony. Marie is also survived by many nieces and nephews and enjoyed the visits that Christine and Susan made to see "Aunt Frances". She enjoyed the love and support of the extended Miller family. Relatives and friends are invited to visit and celebrate her life on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 23 at 10 am at Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 37 Plainfield Avenue, Edison. Interment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Family and friends are welcome to a Repast following the Interment.
