Dorothy Sanko Orlowski, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in her home in Edison. She was born in March of 1928 to her Mother Anna and Father Nicholas Sr. in McAdoo, PA and was a longtime resident of Edison, NJ. She is survived by her husband, Stanley R. Orlowski, two loving daughters, Lisa and Sharon, and a loving son Robert, her loving brothers Joseph, Nicholas, and Stephen Sanko. Dorothy moved to New Jersey in 1951 where she met her husband Stanley and they married on November 15, 1952. She was happily married for 64 years. Dorothy had many friends and enjoyed her life. She loved going to Atlantic City to see the shows and was very active with "The Red Hats". Dorothy also loved spending time with her family and making arts and crafts. Dorothy worked for 30 years for General Motors at the Hyatt Roller Bearing Plant in Clark, NJ. She retired at the age of 52 and enjoyed her children's weddings and the 7 grandchildren (Allyssa, Christopher, Dorothy Ann, Cory, Brandon, Kyle and Ashley) which brought her so much joy and laughter. Visitation will be on Friday, January 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 10 am at Guardian Angels R.C. Church 37 Plainfield Ave., Edison. Cremation will be private. The family requests dish gardens be sent to the funeral home or donations be made in Dorothy's memory to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice 176 Riverside Avenue Redbank, NJ 07701.
