Obituary of Frank Mantuano

Frank Mario Mantuano, age 65 of Myrtle Beach, SC was called home on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2016. Frank was born in New Brunswick and raised in Edison until he moved to South Carolina 8 years ago after retiring from his 28 year career with the Township of Edison, where he proudly drove garbage truck number 55. Frank served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Sampson, where he was commended for exemplary service. Frank's personality was larger than life and he brought so much joy and laughter to all those around him. He greatly enjoyed his life at the beach and traveling in his RV with his adoring wife, Linda. Frank was an animal lover and spent many beautiful days at the dog park with his dog, Louie. He was an amazing cook and loved sharing his homemade Italian meals with family and friends. Frank was an avid gamer, he mastered Candy Crush, reaching well over level 1000. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Agnes. He is lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife, Linda; his daughter Morgan, son-in-law Jon Taber, grandchildren, Angel and Trent, all of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Marybeth Barylsky of Mt. Bethel, PA; uncle and aunt Al and Gloria Glodkowski of Edison; uncle Frank Rice of Edison; many loving nieces and nephews, and great-niece, Olivia Cuviello. Friends and relatives are invited to a celebration of Frank's life on Monday January 2, 2017 from 5-8 PM at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Avenue Edison, NJ. Frank's cremation was a private service in Myrtle Beach. "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."
