Joseph Rossi, 88, of Somerset, passed away at home on December 9, 2016. Born in New Brunswick, Joseph resided in Somerset his entire life. During his career he worked for various scrap metal yards as a Supervisor until his retirement in 2002. He is a longtime member of the Dodge Brothers Car Club as well as Antique Automobile Club of America. He enjoyed all antique cars including his pride and joy, a 1933 Dodge Model DP. Joseph is predeceased by his wife Carol (Fox) in 1988, his parents, Attilio and Amelia and his brother Sabatino. He is Survived by his two daughters, Linda and Robert Ellison of Kendall Park, their children Staci Ellison; James Ellison and his girlfriend, Evelyn Singer and her son Joe; Lisa and Bill Hillyer of Kendall Park, their daughter Victoria; Brother Angelo and Beverly Rossi; sisters Rose and Rita. He is also survived by his longtime companion Ann Jones and her daughter Cathy and John Notte, dear friend Rosemary and Alex Zorzi, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday December 14, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Friends and relatives are welcome on Thursday at 9:30am at the Funeral Home, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 10:30AM at St. Ladislaus Church, 215 Somerset Street, New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
