Obituary of Elaine Bigler

Elaine J. Bigler (Kopsco), 66, a resident of Edison, NJ for 39 years, sadly left this world way too soon on Sunday December 4, 2016 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in New Brunswick, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Elaine was a resident of Sayreville for 27 years. After graduating from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1968, she met the love of her life, Peter A. Bigler IV. In 1977, after nine years of dating, they finally got married. After moving to Edison and getting married, Elaine and Peter enjoyed traveling, concerts and becoming amazing parents to their daughter. In 1991, she began employment with the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities, working at Lakeview School, Edison. Elaine remained employed with NJID, doing what she loved and enjoyed for over 25 years, even working the day before her scheduled surgery. Elaine was a strong woman who survived both ovarian and breast cancer and she also was one of the most genuine, thoughtful ad beautiful woman to grace this earth. Words cant fully describe how she will be missed. Her loss will be felt by all who knew and loved her. When Elaine was not at work, she enjoyed the companionship of her animals, traveling, going to a Broadway show and spending time with her friends and family. Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Peter A. Bigler IV (who also left this world too soon), her mother, Esther Kopsco, her brother, David Kopsco, Marine PFC, bother in law, Robert D. Bigler Sr., her good lifelong friends, Diane Dalessandro and Gloria Wolf, and last but not least, her beloved animals, Smokey, Snowy, Cleo, Ceasar, Sheba, Lille Mya and Angel. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Lauren J. Bigler, her brother, Daniel Kopsco, brother in law, Scott Hudson, sister in law, Barbara Bigler, nephew and niece, Robert D. Bigler Jr., and Jennifer, her lifelong friends, Florence Kremann, Darlene Crawford, Janet Brezniak, all of her Lakeview family and beloved pets, BB, A, Heavyn, Clyde and with special mention to Benny. Elaine you will be missed dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday December 10, 2016 from 12-2 & 5-7PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A funeral service will be held at 6PM. Cremation will be private.
