Kevin R. "Critter" McGorvin, 59, of Edison, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of Edison. Mr. McGorvin retired from the City of New Brunswick Water Department. He was a member of the American Legion Father and Son Post in Edison, the Italian American Club, and was a volunteer member of Raritan Engine #1 Fire Department. He was well known, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Laurie (Mattero) McGorvin of Edison; his brothers Keith McGorvin and Jeffrey McGorvin and his wife Paula, and his sister Doreen English and her husband Bill. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Kelly, Jeffrey, Michael, Brian, William, April, Nicole, Mary Beth, and Christopher; as well as great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2-5 pm at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kevin's family.
