Alfred J. Dobak, Sr., beloved father and pop-pop, of Edison passed away at the age of 79 on Sunday October 16, 2016 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. Born in Newark he has been a resident of Edison for the past 55 years. He was employed with Drakes as a Truck Driver before his retirement in 1998. Alfred is predeceased by his son, Alfred Jr. and a sister, Elaine. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret Dobak; his children, David Dobak and his wife Eva of VA and Karen Chester of Franklin Twp.; sisters, Lillian, Barbara, Jeanne, and Bettyanne; along with his grandchildren, Katrina, Joseph, Krystal, Dylan and Madison. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday October 20, 2016 from 4-8PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A funeral service will be held at 7PM. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alfred's name can be made to St. Matthew's Church, 81 Seymour Ave, Edison, NJ 08817.
