Obituary of Alice Chiarello

Alice C. Chiarello, 68, of New Brunswick passed away Saturday October 1, 2016 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Alice had a lifelong career in Education, during which she achieved her Ed. D. She was the Director of Special Services for the Elizabeth Board of Education for many years, was a certified Speech Pathologist, and most recently was an adjunct professor at Kean University. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Chiarello in 2003 and her parents, Edward and Stanislawa Gerts. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Boylan of New Brunswick; children, Nicholas Chiarello and his wife Virginia of Chapel Hill N.C., Christian Chiarello of Carrboro, N.C., Thomas Boylan, Jr. of South Brunswick, Andrea Stamps and her husband Kyle of Morrisville, P.A., Erin Friedlander and her husband Kevin of Franklin Park and Tara Barry and her husband Michael of Metuchen; sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Rodger Schneider of Hainesport; grandchildren, Christopher William and Robert Michael Chiarello, Ian Stamps, Megan, Jack and Olivia Barry, Emma and Colin Friedlander and Madison, Katie and Alison Boylan; and nieces and nephews, James, Mathew, Lee and Natalie Schneider. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday October 5, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 10:30AM at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
