Carol L. Amberg (née Carvello) 71, of Edison, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. Born in New Brunswick, she was a resident of Edison her entire life. Mrs. Amberg was employed by Edison Township as a Crossing Guard in North Edison for 23 years. Over the years she was very involved with the Edison Italian- American Club. She devoted her life to family and loved time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Madeline Carvello. Surviving are her son Michael Amberg and his wife Carolyn of North Brunswick, and daughter Michelle Barakat of Edison; her five grandchildren: Crystal, Jacquelyn, Trevor, Mackenzie, and Brooke; two great-grandsons Brody and Cristiano; and her brother Thomas Carvello and his wife Patricia of Edison. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 9, 2016, 10 am at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison, followed by interment at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
