Obituary of Theresa Dancsecs

Theresa Kovacs Dancsecs passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Born in Csorotnek, Hungary, she moved to Edison, NJ in 1957. She married her husband, Frank, on April 12,1953 in Allentown, PA and resided there until they moved to NJ in 1960. They have resided in Edison, NJ since 1963. In addition to homemaking and lovingly tending to her family, she worked at Revlon Inc. in Edison, NJ in the late 1970's until 1991. Terusz, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a selfless woman, a woman of modest tastes whose primary focus in life was to bring joy to the lives of others and make sure that her family was always loved and cared for. She and her husband enjoyed spending their time together, gardening, cooking and sitting out on the deck in their yard, enjoying nature, recapturing their rural origins. She was a strong woman, who always put the needs of others before her own, in spite of living with the physical limitations she had from Arnold/Chiari Malformation. She was loved and adored by her family and friends, her face lit up with joy when she spoke on the phone with anyone. She always stressed the importance of education and family to her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years, Frank, their children Frank Jr., Steve and his wife MaryAnn, Marianne and her husband Dan, her grandchildren Steve and Jackie, a son Laszlo and his wife Zsuzsi, grandchildren Laszlo, Andi and Kati, her great grandchildren as well as her brother Julius and his wife Betty of Welland, Ontario, Canada and various nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday September 6, 2016 from 10-10:45AM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM at St. Matthew's Church, Edison. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, Theresa would have preferred that you reached out to your family and friends and let them know you loved them. That was her way.
