Obituary of Doris Uhl

Doris Jean Uhl (née Fox), 86, of Edison, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison after an approximately 20 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Germantown, OH on February 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Zelpha Fox. Mrs. Uhl was employed at Middlesex County College for 20 years prior to retiring in 1994. She was an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Business Management at the time of her retirement. Doris had many interests in her life including, camping for 37 years, ballroom and line dancing, and was a member of the Pinochle, Mahjong and several Bridge clubs. She was also very active in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Edison. She was predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth and Catherine. Surviving are her husband of 66 years Robert Uhl of Edison, and three daughters their husbands, Marcia Uhl and Robert Wentworth of Fryeburg, ME, Barbara Rutherford and David of East Windsor, and Patricia DeCristoforo and Joseph of East Windsor. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Cremation will be private. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 30 at 10 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 445 Old Post Road in Edison. In lieu of flowers, donation are requested to the Alzheimer's Association 400 Morris Ave. Suite #251 Denville, NJ 07834-1365 and/or St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Garden Fund 445 Old Post Rd., Edison, NJ 08817.
