Catherine Anne Tarantola, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 8, 2016. Born in New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Ferruccio and Antonietta (Pizzaia) Perissinotto, she later lived in Somerset, New Brunswick, and Piscataway. She was a 1937 graduate of St. Peter's High School, New Brunswick and retired from W.T. Grants, North Brunswick. Catherine loved her family, reading, gardening, drawing and painting. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Joseph Tarantola, who died in 1949 and her brother Joseph J. Perissinotto who died in 2012. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Blazo and her husband Mike of East Brunswick and Carol Cassaday and her husband Fred of Piscataway; four grandchildren, Rick Cassaday and his wife Michele of Bel Air, MD, Deborah (Blazo) Vandermillen and her husband James of Providence, RI, Derek Blazo and his wife Kristina of Westerville, OH, and Peter Joseph Cassaday of Piscataway; 12 great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Eric, and Megan Catherine Cassaday, Thomas, Catherine Anne, Joseph, and Laura Vandermillen, Christopher, Michael, Sarah, Katharine, and William Blazo; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday July 13, 2016 and from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Ave. New Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
