Robert B. Urban, 78, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at RWJ Rahway Hospital, Rahway. Born in Irvington, he has been an Edison resident for the last 54 years. Bob served in the United States Navy. He was employed with Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. for 40 years, and was a parishioner of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Edison. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Shirley A. Urban of Edison; son, Robert M. Urban and his wife Marie; daughter, Cindy A. Pepitone and her husband Jay; sisters, Andrea Prince and Patricia Sawchuck; bother-in-law, Jerry Augustine and his wife Barbara; nine grandchildren, Zachery (and Jen), Travis, Jessica, Christopher, Jake, Lauren, Bobby, Emily and Adam; one great granddaughter, Lacey Rae; along with many nieces and nephews. Bob was the best husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 9:30AM at St. Matthew's RC Church, Edison. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
