Obituary of James Dunham

James J. Dunham, 73, of Edison passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he has lived in Edison for the past 48 years. Before retiring, he worked with Pepsi for 42 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines, as heavy equipment operator with the Military Police, and a rifle expert before being honorably discharged. James loved fishing, both fresh and salt water fish. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered as an honorable man, and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. James was predeceased by his parents Harry "Peck" and Elizabeth Dunham. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Dunham of Edison; his children, Patti Stern and her husband Craig of Charles Town, WV, Michelle Schiavone of Edison and J.J. Dunham and his wife Kim of Howell; grandchildren, Kyle, Trevor, Kayla, Kaitlyn and Justin; sisters, Elizabeth Meszaros, Peggy O'Donnell and Linda VanDeveer; along with his nieces and nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday May 27, 2016 from 5-8PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 9AM at St. Theresa's Church, Fox Road, Edison. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations in James' name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
