Gladys Hartman, 97, of Edison passed away Sunday May 8, 2016 at home. Born in Berwick, PA, she lived in Elizabeth before moving to Edison 66 years ago. She worked at the Franco Towel Factory in Metuchen for 10 years. Gladys was predeceased by her loving husband Arnold in 1977; a son, John Scofield in 2010; a daughter, Nanette Peters in 2012; 3 brothers, Albert, Berton and Loren Dunn; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Hoover and Lendoy Marshall. She is survived by her loving daughter and caretaker, Minda Oross and her husband John of Edison; 6 grandchildren, Sharon Wardrop and her husband Jim, Joann Sckerak and her husband Rob, Donna Malave, Nanette Malave and her husband Tom, George Koleser and his wife Linda, and Nicholas Dennis; along with 15 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; son in law, Wayne Peters; and a daughter in law, Florence Scofield. Funeral Services will be held Friday May 13, 2016, 10AM at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
