Jon A. Serentino, 68, of Edison, passed away Sunday April 10, 2016 at home. Jon served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Thailand. He was a Security Guard for Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and a former member of the Edison Elks. Jon is predeceased by his sister, Patricia Laird. He is survived by his children, Jonathan Serentino, Todd Serentino, and Kristi Serentino Akins; a brother, Kevin Serentino; grandchildren, Alexa Akins and Kaylee Serentino; nephews, Thomas Laird, Stanley Laird, Eric Mullenhard, and Peter Boucher; and nieces Nancy Carlon, Michelle Laird, Deborah Boucher, Jennifer Mullenhard, and Heather Lentini. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday April 16, 2016 from 8:30AM until the funeral service at 9:45AM at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison.
