Obituary of Carl Mehalick

Carl S. Mehalick, 88, of Edison, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Oneida, PA, he resided in Edison for the past 58 years. Mr. Mehalick served in the United States Navy during World War II and in the Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1987 from Delco as a Quality Control Inspector. He loved baseball, and coached Little League in Edison, and was an avid Phillies fan. He was a parishioner at Guardian Angels R.C. Church in Edison and was very involved with various responsibilities there. He was predeceased by his siblings. Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years Anna Gladys Mehalick (née Gulash) of Edison; his sons and their spouses Carl "Bud" Mehalick and Pat of Langhorne, PA, Mark Mehalick of Edison, Jim Mehalick and Janice of North Brunswick; and Matt Mehalick and Nina of North Brunswick; his 10 grandchildren Nick Mehalick and wife Jill, Lisa, Michael, Jacqueline, Bailey, Samantha, Mikayla, Christian, Mary, and Kenny Mehalick; as well as his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 9:30 from Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison, followed by a 10 am Mass at Guardian Angels R.C. Church in Edison. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Visitation will be Monday, April 4 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
