Phyllis N. Solstad, 77, of Monroe Township, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with her family by her side. She was born in Dayton, OH. Mrs. Solstad was an Administrative Assistant with AT&T before retiring in 2003. She was a creative person who loved writing, painting, and ceramics. She also enjoyed traveling, and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her. She was predeceased by her siblings. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Megan J. MacDonald and Michael of North Plainfield, Paul E. Lutz of Meridian, Mississippi, Brenda Gail Buckelew and Bill of Stewartsville, and Laura E. Hasselbrink and Jon of Flemington; and grandchildren David C. and Morgan R. Buckelew. A memorial services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 4-6 pm at Boylan Funeral Home 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick.
