Brendan L. McCarthy, age 54, of Fords, passed away on March 23, 2016. Brendan was born in New Brunswick NJ. He lived in Fords for many years. Brendan was a third generation member of Ironworkers Local 373 (now Local 11) for 30 years. Brendan travelled extensively throughout the country and loved the outdoors, especially camping. He enjoyed cooking and was a master at barbecuing while often making very creative rubs and sauces. Brendan was a diehard NY Giants fan and bled Big Blue while never missing a game. He loved music and often went to concerts. Bruce Springsteen was his favorite musician. Brendan loved to smile often striking a pose for the camera. Brendan was predeceased by his parents John and JoEllen (Paulin)McCarthy. Brendan is survived by his former wife Diane, Brothers John McCarthy, Kevin (Donna) McCarthy and their son Aiden, Brian (Linda) McCarthy and their sons Christopher and Matthew, Sister Kathleen McCarthy-Legoff (John), Cousin Anne (Thess) Prince, their son Cameron, daughter Morgan, and Aunt Margaret Bandrowski (Susan to all of us.). A private Memorial gathering is scheduled for Saturday April 2 for relatives and close friends at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison NJ.
