Obituary of Zolton Koye

Zolton Koye, 88, of Edison passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning March 22, 2016 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, Menlo Park. Born and raised in Highland Park, he has lived in Edison for 56 years. Zolton served his country in the United States Marines Corps as an aircraft electrician. Upon leaving the Service, he worked for many years in his own business as an electrician. He attended Rutgers University in the evenings to pursue a degree in electrical engineering and was a self-contracted Electrical Engineer for the majority of his career. Zolton is predeceased by his wife, Evelyn and a brother Joseph. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Ann Stryker and her husband Steven, and daughter Sherrielyn Koye; as well as his sister Natalie Odato. Zolton loved animals and shared his life with many pets over the years. He loved music and was a member of a barbershop quartet for several years. He and his wife had been members of church choirs at both Grace Reformed and Highland Park Reformed churches. He loved cooking for his family, friends and church events. Zolton lived a good, long and blessed life. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday March 28th from 7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Funeral services will be private.
