Elinor Barbara Chichon (née Totten), 96, passed away Saturday, February20, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville. Daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Totten, she was one of thirteen children. Born and raised in Martinsville, NJ she lived most of her life in New Brunswick before retiring to Bridgewater. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Peter's Church and a Lady Knight of Columbus in New Brunswick. She belonged to the Bridgewater Seniors and loved the Atlantic City bus trips with them. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the U.S. and wintering with friends in Florida. Elinor was predeceased by her husband Joseph T. Chichon, her daughter Barbara A. Lessing, and ten brothers and sisters. She leaves behind two loving sons, Joseph of Toms River and K. Thomas and his wife Carol of Warrensburg, NY; two sisters Betty Hale of Basking Ridge and Lorraine Cecchine of Manville; ten cherished grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27 at 9:30 am at Boylan Funeral Home 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick, followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Peter's R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, February 26 from 2-5 pm at the funeral home.
