Michael M. Davis, 63, of South Brunswick passed away Sunday January 24, 2016. Born in Jersey City, he was raised in Edison and New Brunswick, and has been a resident of South Brunswick for 20 years. Michael was a Letter Carrier for the New Brunswick Post Office, retiring three years ago. He loved baseball and played in many leagues. He coached little league for many years and most recently worked as an umpire. Michael loved the beach and the boardwalk, and was happiest when he was with his granddaughters. Michael is predeceased by his parents Donald and Kathleen Davis. He is survived by his wife Lucille Davis of Metuchen; two sons, Michael E. Davis and his wife Jennifer of Mt. Holly and Benjamin J. Davis of Metuchen; a brother, Daniel Davis and his wife Cheryl of Monroe; sisters, Laurie Paquette and her husband Terry of Powhatan, VA, Elizabeth Kleiber of California, MD, and Virginia Gelnaw and her husband Kevin of Ormond Beach, FL; and his beloved granddaughters, Sophia and Madison Davis; along with many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday January 29, 2016 9:30AM at St. Matthew the Apostle RC Church, Edison. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday January 28, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison.
