George R. Bogdan, 77, died on Friday, July 3, 2015, surrounded by his family. Born in Jersey City, NJ, George lived his entire life in the Garden State, spending the last 50 years as a resident of Edison. George was employed by Bell Labs for 32 years as an engineer, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed spending his free time volunteering with the Edison Fire Department, the scouts of Troop 12, and the NJ Society of Professional Engineers. George is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol; his sister, Carole Granato of Forked River NJ; his three sons, David and Mary Bogdan of Ellicott City, MD, Kenneth and Kathryn Bogdan of Lexington Park, MD, and Matthew and Elizabeth Bogdan of Orlando, FL; as well as 8 wonderful grandchildren. Family and friends may pay their respects at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison, NJ on Monday, July 6, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The second viewing and Funeral Service will be held 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the same location.
