Obituary of John Dulina

John E. Dulina, 88, of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Old Bridge. Born in West Hazelton, PA, he resided in Old Bridge most of his life. Mr. Dulina served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War, aboard the heavy cruiser the U.S.S. Des Moines. He was employed by the United States Postal Service for 25 years before retiring. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid Phillies fan and also enjoyed going to the horseraces. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga Dulina, (nee Kurtz) in 1996. Surviving are his two sons, John Jr. of Old Bridge and Andrew of Tresckow, PA; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Michael Dulina and Kristine Maszlo; as well as 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, at 8:30 a.m. from the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick; followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Somerset. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Byzantine Cemetery in McAdoo, PA. Visitation will be on Monday, June 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
