Lucy Ganz, 85, of Edison passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in New Brunswick, she moved to Edison in 1964. Mrs. Ganz was employed in retail before becoming a stay at home grandmother. She enjoyed playing Rummy 500, was a loyal New York Mets fan, and loved the ocean and spending time with her family. She was a communicant at St. Matthew's R.C. Church in Edison. She was the matriarch of her family and will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Delfino Ganz in 2008, as well as her 3 brothers and sister. Surviving are her two sons, John Ganz and his wife Doreen of Bethlehem, PA and Jerry Ganz of Edison and her daughter, Diane Ganz of Somerset. She was the loving Nonna to Heather Ganz and fiancé Taleb Ahmed, Maria Ganz and fiancé J.C. FrancoBandiero, Angela Ganz and boyfriend Mike FrancoBandiero, and Dominique and Samantha Ganz. Also surviving are her sister in-law Jenny Ganz, best friend Mae Dicaro, and her devoted pets Bella and Samaya. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, at 9:00 a.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison; followed by a 9:30 Mass at St. Matthew's R.C. Church in Edison. Entombment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Visitation will be Monday, June 1, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
