Obituary of Virginia Pizzaia

Virginia Pizzaia, 91, of Edison and Lakewood, NJ passed away Saturday May 9, 2015. She was born in Edison on March 6, 1924. At the age of 50 she went back to school and received her high school diploma and then went on to become a nurse. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her grandchildren. Virginia enjoyed playing the piano and could play any song she heard by ear. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Edison where she was very active. She was predeceased by her loving husband Tullio who died October 10, 1988. She is survived by her three children, Thomas Pizzaia and his wife Lisa of Edison, Robert Pizzaia and his wife Linda of Edison, and Jeanne Yahr and her husband Steven of Lakewood, NJ. Virginia is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Tommy, Rebecca and her boyfriend Tom, Bobby and his wife Pam, Daniel and Nicholas all of Edison, Christina and her husband Brandon of Ohio, Steven and his wife Christine of Barnegat, Jonathan and his wife Jonna of Brick & Jason and his wife Jaime of Beachwood. She had 16 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriella, Benjamin, Julliana, Jacob, Sadie Rose, Brianna, Joe, Joshua, Justin, Joey, Marie, Madeline, Angelina, Camille, and Holly. Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday, May 13, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. A Funeral Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Funeral Home followed by interment at Lake Nelson Cemetery in Piscataway.
