Richard G. Barry, Jr., 89, of New Brunswick, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Victoria House Assisted Living in Matawan. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Nr. Barry resided there most of his life. Mr. Barry served in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II; He was also a Driver with Railway Express Agency before retiring in 1986. He was a communicant at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Mr. Barry was predeceased by his parents, Richard G. Barry, Sr. and Anna (née Garrigan,) as well as his brother, William Barry. Surviving are his sisters, Caroline Cipolla of New Brunswick and Shirley DiSisto of Yardley, PA. Also surviving are 8 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick, followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Visitation will be on Monday, April 20, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
