Josephine D. Green, 82, of Toms River, passed away Saturday April 4, 2015 at Community Medical Center. Born in Irvington, she resided there most of her life until moving to Toms River seven years ago. Mrs. Green was employed by New Jersey Transit in the Employee Benefits Department. She was a Breast Cancer survivor, and gave back through volunteer work with Deborah Heart and Lung Center. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond Green in 1971 as well as her siblings Vito, Nicholas, Raphael, Pauline, and Frances. Surviving are her son and daughter in-law James and Claudine Green of Bloomfield; her daughter JoAnn M. Green of Toms River; granddaughters Natasha and Gabrielle; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.
