Josephine Pellicane, 89, of Somerset died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a longtime resident of New Brunswick before moving to Somerset two years ago. Mrs. Pellicane worked at The Jewish Nursing Home for 5 years before retiring in 1994, she then worked as a school crossing guard in New Brunswick for 4 years. She was a communicant of Mt. St. Mary's R.C. Church in New Brunswick and a member of the New Brunswick Senior Citizen's. Mrs. Pellicane graduated Lord Stirling Grammar School, Roosevelt Jr. High School, New Brunswick High School and then attended the Drake Business School. Mrs. Pellicane was predeceased by a son, William Hauge in 2004. She is survived by her son Joseph Hauge and his wife Rosemary of South River, NJ. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. from the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
