Kathe Marie Dunne passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She was 62. Kathe was born in Fort Sill, OK and was currently a resident of Austin, TX, after having lived most of her life in Southern California. She was a graduate of Rutgers University in NJ. She was President of KMD Consulting, an independent consultancy specializing in Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-money Laundering risk and compliance management solutions for Banks, Credit Unions and Money Service Businesses. Kathe had a keen interest in politics and was an avid reader and artwork collector. She loved all kinds of animals but had a particular love for cats. Over the years, she rescued many cats and supported many organizations that worked toward the kind treatment of animals. She is survived by her parents Robert and Catharine Dunne of Barefoot Bay, FL; her sister Laurel Dobalo; her brothers Jeffrey Dunne and his wife Mary Jo, and Kevin Dunne and his wife Corinne; her nieces and nephews Katie, Chelsea, Morgan, Daniel, and Louis; and her great niece Emma. A Funeral Mass will be held on March 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 5055 Micco Road, Barefoot Bay, FL 32976. Donations can be made in her honor to one of her favorite charities, Alley Cat Allies (www.alleycat.org), a national advocacy organization dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of cats.
