Robert Kroon was born June 12, 1926, died January 7, 2015, formally a resident of New Jersey he moved to Stuart, Florida 3 years ago. Bob was predeceased by his father and mother, Frederik and Femke, a brother Richard, sister Helen Knowles, step sisters Olga Kutasy, Doris Fisher, Frederica Seely and a step brother Charles Cranendonk. Bob is survived by his wife of 25 years Veronica Koller Carlisle Kroon, brother Frederick and Katy of Avon Park, Fl, son Robert of Seaside Park, NJ, son William and Mindy of Monroe, NJ, daughter Debra and Mario Nappa of Newark, DE, grandchildren Ryan and Deanna Kroon of Monroe NJ, Brian and Christine Nappa of Newark, DE. Bob's family also included his step-children, who he is survived by Karen Harkins of North Brunswick, NJ, Robert and Sherry Carlisle of York, PA, Sue and Joe Giles of Edison, NJ, Jackie and Mike Kersey of Edison, NJ. He is also survived by 9 step grandchildren Kelly Plodzien, Michael Harkins, Jaime Eayres, Amanda, Stephanie and Tyler Sabo, Jon Carlisle, Samantha and Kaitlyn Kersey and 5 step-great grand children, nieces and nephews and many, many friends including his special friends Tom and Joan Panko. Bob served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked for 37 years at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ as a maintenance supervisor. He was a life member of VFW and a member of Hidden Harbour Boat Club in Stuart, Florida and loved to golf. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22 at 9:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
