Dennis Hayes, age 68, of Edison, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Haven Hospice at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Edison. Born in Newark, he was a lifelong resident of Edison. Dennis worked at the Sheltered Workshop in Edison as a contract worker for 25 years. He was a member of the Edison Elks Lodge 2487; He was also a member and participant at NJ Institute for Disabilities for 38 years and Abundant Life Christian Center in Dayton. Dennis was predeceased by his mother, Jessie Hayes and his sister, Leslie Hayes. Dennis is survived by his father Patrick Hayes and many friends. On Monday, December 22, family and friends are invited to the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a viewing, services will occur during the 6 o'clock hour. Entombment will be private for the family at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
