Obituary of Christopher Cosimano

Christopher C. Cosimano, 96, of Edison, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at home. Born in Johnstown, PA, he lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Edison over 60 years ago. Mr. Cosimano served in the 24th engineer battalion, 4th armored division in the United States Army during World War II under General Patton, serving in the European Theater in such places as: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He served as President of the 4th Armored Division New York Chapter. He was a member of the VFW Post 3117 and Knights of Columbus Post 4885, both in Edison; and was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church in Highland Park. Mr. Cosimano was predeceased by two grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer. Surviving are his beloved wife of 67 years, Marie (nee Puglisi) Cosimano of Edison; his son and daughter in-law Salvatore and Christine Cosimano of Wrentham, MA; two daughters and sons in-law Agnes and Ken Logan of Spotswood, and Sandra Cosimano and Robert Hellauer of Tewksbury; and six grandchildren: Carolyn, Tim, Katie, Gina, Rob, and Christopher. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's R.C. Church in Highland Park. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Visitation will be on Monday, December 22, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 1020 19th Street, Suite 475, Washington D.C. 20036.
