Edward W. Taylor, of Edison, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, Edward lived there before moving to Edison 33 years ago. Mr. Taylor, a self-employed handyman for 40 years, was a Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam. Edward is survived by his loving companion of 40 years, Patricia Powers; 3 sons, Andrew Powers of North Brunswick, Edward Jr. and David Powers both of Roselle Park; 3 daughters, Kelly and Kimberly Powers both of Edison and Adrienne Taylor-Scott of Roselle Park. Also surviving are two sisters. The family will meet at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison Tuesday, December 9, at 10:00 a.m. proceeding to Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 14 Chesterfield Arneytown Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562 for committal at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, December 8, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
