Marie F. Russert, of Somerset, died Friday, November 7, 2014, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 75 years old. Born in New Brunswick, Marie resided in Somerset for many years. Marie was a Dispatcher for the Franklin Township Police Department for 25 years before retiring in 1982. Marie was predeceased by her daughter, Lorraine M Ransom; her parents, George and Mini Russert; and her siblings, Virginia Funari, Irene Shearer, William Russert and George Russert. Surviving are her sisters, Jean Funari and Betty Moore; grandchildren, Sheri Miller and Jonathan Mezynski; her longtime companion, Pete DiGiovanni and 7 great grandchildren Treybion, Demond (Bubbie), Damian, Brielle, Bryce, Janiyah, and Ezrah. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. from Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick, followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, November 12, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
