Claire Sarro,(née Ursitti,) of Edison died Sunday, August 24, 2014, at home, She was 102 years old. Born in New York City she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Edison 50 years ago. Mrs. Sarro was employed as a bookkeeper in New York City for over 30 years. She was a communicant of St. Matthew's R.C. Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Red Hat Ladies. Claire was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1974, a sister Teddy Conti, and a brother Michael Ursitti. Surviving are her sister Rita DeLuca of Edison and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28th at 9:00 a.m. from Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Matthews R.C. Church in Edison. Burial will follow in Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the family.
