Manuel F. Cabelo Jr., 68, died Friday March 7, 2014 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born in Newark, he most recently was a resident of Edison. He was predeceased by his son Manuel Cabelo in 1983, his father Manuel F. Cabelo, and his sister Irene Vitabile. Surviving are his daughter Denise Pavona and her husband Jim of Middletown, DE; his mother Adelaide Cabelo of New York, his brother Antonio Cabelo of Lake Luzerne, NY; his three granddaughters Jamie, Danielle, and Gracie Pavona; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held Thursday March 13, 2014 from 5:00pm - 7:00 pm at Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A Blessing will take place at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Manuel's name be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or online at StJude.org.
