Emma Soto, 89, of Piscataway, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. An artistically gifted seamstress,at 18 she opened her first boutique at which she sold her creations. In 1955 she met and married the love of her life, Ulysses and they remained together for forty-nine years. Moving to New York, Emma was employed as the lead seamstress for various designers and sportswear companies. In 1972, she moved to Piscataway, NJ where she resided for the rest of her life. Emma was a phenomenal cook and baker, and loved entertaining her family and many friends. In her later years she actively participated in tai chi and yoga classes at the local senior center. Always cheerful and quick to smile she was a light in the lives of all who knew her. Emma was predeceased by her husband, Ulysses Soto; and her sister, Hilda Mina. She is survived by her son, Kelvyn Soto; and her daughter, Jeanette Friday. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
