Marisa Donna Stryker (Bird), 45, of Edison passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her home. Marisa was a lifelong resident of Edison. She was an administrative assistant at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick. Marisa loved spending time with family. That love was also evident in her devotion to her children's activities. She was a fixture on the EUSA soccer field and spent countless hours as a volunteer at their schools. She was extremely proud to be the mother of both a Girl Scout and an Eagle Scout Candidate. Marisa was also proud to be an Edison High School Band Mom even though she was a 1994 J.P. Stevens High School graduate. Marisa was a friend to all wherever she went. Marisa was predeceased by her mother, Marilyn Boardman Bird; and her uncles, Bill Bird Sr. and Robert Boardman. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Stryker; children, Shane Stryker and Samantha Stryker; father, Bruce Bird; sister, Lynn Dourourips and brother-in-law David Miskiel; niece, Autumn Dourourips; great-niece, Macie; great-nephew, Mason; aunt, Janice Bird; father-in-law, Gary Stryker and mother-in-law, Nora Stryker; brother-in-law, Eric Stryker; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
