Jeremiah E. Needham, 86, of Edison, passed away on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown. Jeremiah was born and raised in Irvington before moving to Edison in 1963. He was a mechanic at American Can Company in Hillside. In his free time, Jeremiah enjoyed freshwater fishing, gardening, tending to his koi pond and spending time with his dog, Samson. Jeremiah was predeceased by his parents, Ambrose and Mary Needham; and his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene Needham; his children, Jeremiah Needham, Kevin Needham and Laurie DeAmicis and her husband Paul; along with his grandchildren, Brianna DeAmicis and Alyssa DeAmicis Eldershaw. Following his wishes, Jeremiah was privately cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
