Florence “Flossie” Pauline Amberg, 92, of Toms River, passed away on Thursday, September 9th, 2021 at home. Florence was born and raised in Newark and lived in Edison for many years before moving to Toms River. She worked for the Edison School district as a lunch aid. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and bowling at the Edison Bowling Alley. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Michael Amberg in 2011; her parents, Paul and Mary Milkowski; son, Michael Amberg; daughters, Dorothy Najim and Florence Fratello; and her son-in-laws, John Najim and Dennis Lengyel. She is survived by her four children, Robert Amberg and his wife Doreen, Joyce Lengyel, Joan Hansen and her husband Wayne and Carol Amberg; also her sister, Kathleen Milkowski, daughter-in-law, Roseann Amberg. She has nineteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Masks will be required to attend the services.
