James R. Kalman, 88, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 in East Brunswick. He was a lifelong resident of Edison. James served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon discharge, he attended Union College where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. James worked for the US Postal Service and upon his retirement, became an avid gardener. James was predeceased by his parents, James and Ida Kalman. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Carns and Ida White; his nephew, Andrew White; nieces, Sarah May and Patti Yuka; two grandnephews, Jacob and Sam Yuka; and his grandniece, Katherine May. Following his wishes, James was privately cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison.
