Ramon Guzman, 61, died on Sunday September 15, 2013 on a boat off the Jersey Coast while tuna fishing; a pursuit he truly enjoyed. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico he was a longtime resident of Highland Park where he was employed as a tile setter. As well as being an avid fisherman he was also a member of Keyport Fishing Club and Edison Moose Lodge #1978. He is predeceased by his brothers Camello and Serafin. He is survived by his loving wife Rose (Colletto) Guzman; his son Ramon J. Guzman and wife Laura of Green Brook; daughter Catherine Friedman and husband Scott of Somerset; his grandchildren Nicolina Baello-Wentzell and Scott Friedman; his brother Helidoro Guzman of NY; sisters Juana Ramos and husband Jose of Somerset & Margarita Massallo and husband Herman of FL. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Boylan Funeral Home 10 Wooding Ave. Edison on Thursday September 19 from 2 pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
