Felix A. Colon, age 92, of Somerset passed away on February 11th, 2024 at home. He was born and raised in Barranquitas Puerto Rico and lived in New Brunswick prior to moving to Somerset. He retired after many years of working in the Sheet Metal Industry making industrial air-conditioning units. Felix enjoyed any and all handyman work and was always happy to help family and friends alike with their home repairs, car repairs, appliance repairs etc. There was little Felix couldn’t do. To say he was a hero to many is an understatement. His greatest joy was agriculture, growing his own produce and then sharing them with everyone was just something he did. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Felicita Negron Colon in 2012. He is survived by his two sons, Jesus Colon and his wife Ivonne Beauchamp of Somerset, Felix R Colon and his wife Evelyn Colon of Florida. His sister, Carmen Nelida Ortiz. He also leaves seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 14th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 75 Morris Street, New Brunswick at 10:00 a.m.. Followed by a burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
