Margaret Waynor, 97, passed away on December 3, 2023, at UF Health The Villages Hospital, FL. Born in Iselin NJ, to the late Oscar and Mary (Singer) Waynor. Margaret lived in Iselin for 71 years and Columbus NJ for a short time. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. In 2001, Margaret embraced a new chapter of life by relocating to The Villages in Florida, where she continued to build cherished memories. Margaret graduated from Woodbridge High School, setting the foundation for a dedicated and industrious life. She pursued a career in Secretarial Science and contributed 42 years of unwavering service to Western Electric in South Kearny NJ. Her commitment and expertise led her to the position of Wage Practice Specialist before her well deserved retirement in 1985, coinciding with the closure of the plant. Beyond her professional life, Margaret was known for her warmth and generosity. She was a woman of diverse interests. She found joy in exploring the world through her travels, appreciated the timeless melodies of classical music, and demonstrated her creativity through sewing, crafts, photography, painting, and computer work. A true enthusiast, she indulged in the challenge of crossword puzzles and sudoku and had a passion for the strategic games of Scrabble and pinochle. Margaret was predeceased by her two sisters, Clara Brown and Irene Waynor; in addition to her three brothers, Martin, Hugo and Karl Waynor. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. Remembering Margaret as a person of resilience, passion, and with a zest for life. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, Gladys Waynor; many nieces and nephews; friends, and the community she called home. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Graveside Services will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway.
