Frances Hulse, age 98 of Edison, passed on Friday, November 17, 2023. Born 1925 in Metuchen and raised in the Nixon Section of Edison. After marriage they returned to Nixon, close to her childhood home. Frances was a homemaker, Den Mother, Sunday School Teacher, raising her children in the same neighborhood she herself and her siblings played. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 3117, a pollster for her district into her 80’s. She was a member of Edison Seniors enjoying playing cards and talk. She also enjoyed baking, puzzles, needlepoint, crochet, and her front porch. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Robert E.; parents, Estelle and James Governale; granddaughter, Jordan; sisters, Marie and Barbara; brothers, Michael and James (Tiny). She is survived by her sons, Robert J. and his wife Victoria, William A. and his wife Kathy, John F. and his wife Pamela; her grandchildren, Ashton, Kierstyn, Tyler, Erin and Patrick; great grandchildren, Jase and Cooper; brother, Richard; and her sister, Janice. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison. Interment to follow at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
