Myrna Cartina Isip Orillaza, 65, of Edison, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at her son’s home surrounded by her loving family. Born in San Pablo City, Laguna in the Philippines, Myrna grew up in San Pablo City and was a graduate of Canossa High School in 1976 and San Pablo College in 1980. In 1987, she made the journey to the United States with her husband and daughter and relocated to New Jersey. As a woman of God, Myrna always put her faith first and welcomed everyone with open arms. Her love radiated through her warm embraces and every meal she cooked. She ensured that her loved ones’ hearts and stomachs were both full. There was nothing she loved more than a house full of family, friends, food, and music. Myrna was predeceased by her parents, Mariano and Maria (Cartina) Isip; sister, Lolita (Isip) Azucena (Cesario); brothers, Mario “Mar” (Elsie) and Rolando “Dando” (Felicedad); and longtime companion, Lucky. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Isagani “Sonny” Orillaza; her four children, Myris Anne “Apple”, Mark Francisco (Jennifer), Matthew Ian (Marissa), and Myra Ilyssah “Issah” (Cody); her grandchildren, Ravi Lindsey, X’Zavier Lindsey, Jaxon Lindsey, Naydelin Del Valle, Francisco Torres, Liana Rose Orillaza, and Melía Maria Orillaza; grandfurbabies, Saint, Roxy, Kobe, and Gunther. She will also be dearly missed by her brothers, Rizalino “Boyd”, Ruben “Ben” (Anita), Mariano Jr. “Jun” (Ellen), and Amando “Andoy” (Elenila); her in-laws; and most certainly her best friends, Susan, Cleo, Emma, Bong, and Jeana. Visiting will be on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison, NJ 08817. Cremation will be private. She fought a valiant battle, her strength was an inspiration to us all, her love and compassion towards others, are all qualities we should all aspire to possess.
