Eric James Ubl, age 34, of Edison passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton, NJ. He was born February 25, 1989 and raised in Edison. Eric was a talented musician who could play multiple instruments including: the piano, keyboard, cello, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, and other brass instruments. He also was an amazing singer and performer. He performed in multiple productions and live performances with bands such as Exit 10, Pandora’s Promise, and Midnight Mosaic. They played at venues such as Starland Ballroom and The Stone Pony with Eric playing bass guitar, drums and singing. Eric started his musical career by taking music lessons at Lou Rose in Edison, NJ when he was 6 years old and continued on until he started teaching guitar, drums and piano lessons for many years. He was able to play instruments without reading sheet music, but was also an advanced sheet music reader. He graduated from Edison High School in 2007, then completed his B.S. at Kean University for Business and Psychology. He completed a year certificate for Audio Engineering at SAE Institute of Technology in New York City than worked as an intern with recording and producing music. Recently, he worked in various management positions including: Apple, Planet Fitness, GoPuff and Burlington. He will be remembered for his bright smile, laugh and a truly amazing sense of humor. Eric was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Irene Williams; maternal grandfather, Lloyd Davis; paternal grandfather, Arthur T. Ubl; and paternal grandmother, Joan Bixby. He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Karen Ubl; sister, Jennifer Cerreta and brother-in-law Michael; along with his niece and nephew, Savannah and Mikey. A Celebration of Life service will be held at: Community Presbyterian Church 75 Glenville Road Edison, NJ 08817 Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
