Robert K Smerecki Sr., Aka “POP” 69, of Edison, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ following complications from MDS. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Smerecki (Veisz); children, Sharon & Michael Harned and Stephanie and Robert Smerecki Jr.; grandchildren, Anthony Smerecki, Michael Harned, and Enzo Harned; great granddaughter, Isabella Harned; his brother, Martin “Beanso” Smerecki and his wife Barbra Smerecki. He was preceded by his parents, Edward and Mary Smerecki and two brothers, Edward Jr. and Gary. Robert was an adored husband ,caring father, beloved brother, selfless grandfather and great grandfather. He was a life long resident of Edison graduating from Edison High School. Robert worked and retired from the United States Postal Service after nearly 40 years of service. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday August 20th from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Final services will be private.
